| The materials you should provide while registering to marry |
For Shanghai residents
a. Your certificate of registered permanent residence and your ID Card.
b. The statement with your signature testifying that you don’t have spouse and don’t have lineal relatives by blood or collateral relatives by blood up to the third degree of kinship with the other party.(You have to fill a uniform form at the marriage registration office.)
c. Three current two-inch photos(same grounding ,half-length, full-face and without hat)
For you:
a. Your valid passport or other international touring certificates that can prove your identity
b. The attestation of your not being connubial issued by your country’s notarization office or related authorities and attested by embassy/consulate of China to your country , or, that of embassy/consulate of yours to China
c. Three current two-inch photos(same grounding, half-length, full-face and without hat)
If your documents are written in foreign languages, you should provide Chinese version translated by officially appointed organizations. In Shanghai, there are several organizations who provide the service, they are,
