⑨It doesn’t matter if one copy of the marriage certificate has been lost. However, both parties have to go to the civil affairs bureau where they register their marriage for a marriage proof if both copies of marriage certificates have been lost. In cases that the civil affairs bureau has no records of both parities’ marriage, they need to go to the public security agencies for a proof. What’s more, both parties have to explain the situation in writing.
